COMMENT: I knew people loved the source novel "The Wettest County in the World", but Lawless is far more than what I was expecting. John Hillcoat is a gifted director and the cast he reunited is just "impressive"! I smell strong acting all around, but Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman and Guy Pearce promise to steal the show. The tension we ca feel from the trailer is exciting - the whole movie seems outstanding - and I smell some award buzz around this flick. Lawless is getting a lot of points from my consideration and I really hope it will be great, because there's nothing better than a good, tense, well-balanced and violent western!
