- There are a few updates on Christopher Nolan's third Batman installment about Marion Cotillard (La vie en rose) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's ((500) Days of Summer) roles:
"MARION COTILLARD AND JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT CAST IN CHRISTOPHER NOLAN’S “THE DARK KNIGHT RISES”
BURBANK, CA, April 19, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have joined the cast of “The Dark Knight Rises,” the epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend.
Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham.
Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon.
The film reunites the actors with Christopher Nolan, who recently directed them in the award-winning blockbuster “Inception.”
The director stated, “When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again.”
Heading the cast of “The Dark Knight Rises,” Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The main cast also includes Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy as Bane.
Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Christopher Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven.
“The Dark Knight Rises” is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company"
Well, I really agree with "When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience"! I'm really excited to see this one... It's a crime it hits theatres only in 2012! - According to Collider, "The most interesting fact he (Craig Gillespie) provides is that he’ll use O. Russell’s script, because “it has such a great mix of humor and horror. I just love being able to juggle those two aspects.”
Craig Gillespie (director of Lars and the Real Girl), is the latest director attached for Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, after names like David O. Russell (The Fighter) and Mike White (School of Rock) and it seems that he's taking this really seriously by using the O. Russell's (which is a really clever move, since O. Russell is a gifted screenwriter and director).
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies already had names like Natalie Portman (Black Swan), Anne Hathaway (Alice In Wonderland) or Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) attached for the starring roles at different times and there's no update about the casting yet.
A risky project that may be a sucess or a huge flop, in my opinion, but it stills an interesting one... - The Help movie trailer finally came out and you must have a look:I don't know what are you thinking about it, but it seems the kind of movie with great acting. To be completly honest, it seems a bit similar to Made In Dagenham to me, but it stills looking great. Once again, Emma Stone (Easy A) seems as luminous and fresh as ever, while Bryce Dallas Howard (Hereafter), Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis (Doubt) seem to have Oscar-kind of roles and costumes seem good enough for that fashion lovers (like my girlfriend)... It became really interesting to me!
